Duckling/Gosling/Cygnet

Duckling/Gosling/Cygnet

If you find one of these young birds, it may just have been separated from its mother. Monitor for a period to see if the mother returns and it can re-join the family.

If you find one of these young birds, trapped or in danger please call us.

If you can see that the parent has been killed (more typically ducks) (eg. road accident) then where e possible gather up the young into a box and please call us.

If you see a young bird entangled in fishing line, and especially if you can see the hook in the bird, please contact us for advise.

Still need help?

Please remember we are a small voluntary service, we are not obliged to come and collect animals, indeed transport is our biggest drain on resource. We all work and have busy lives, and do what we do for the love of our wildlife. We will always do our best to help, sometimes it may not be what you feel is right, but with a wealth of experience, we give the advice we do for good reason. At no point will verbal of physical abuse be tolerated by any of our volunteers.

You can contact us on 07912 862 739.
If we do not answer, we may be busy with animals or on a rescue.
Please call again, we try but are not always able to return calls or voicemails.
Please Note: Our opening hours are 8am to 6pm daily, but closed on Wednesdays.
