Collection/Wildlife Responders
You will need to drive, and inform your insurance of your role with us.
You need to contain animals safely when transporting.
You must attend Stage 1 training with us (see below).
You will not be expected to carry out ‘rescues’ at this point, but will be collecting animals from public and vets, and/or transporting to specialist vet centres.
Foster Carer
You will be able to support us with ducklings, gulls, hedgehogs etc.
You must attend Stage 2 training with us (see below).
You must understand that the animals in your care are wild animals and we limit handling. This means no loud noises, excessive talking around them or treating them as pets in anyway. Our primary aim must be to rehabilitate and release.
You will need an appropriate garden so we can set-up a hutch/run for the animals in your care, and must be willing for us to visit regularly to check conditions and support you properly.
All care is provided under the guidance of the rescue, and instructions must be followed.
